This Privacy Policy describes how Vincent Renotte (Galismoky Tech) ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of the WearVault application for Wear OS (the "Wear OS App") and its companion mobile application (the "Mobile App").

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency.

1. Information We Collect

WearVault is designed with your privacy in mind. We primarily focus on processing your data locally on your device and facilitating secure transfer to your companion Mobile App.

Information You Provide Directly:

• Audio Recordings: When you choose to capture audio notes using the Wear OS App, the audio data you record is processed and stored locally on your Wear OS device, and then securely transferred directly to your companion mobile application.
• Text Notes: When you input text notes, the text data is processed and stored locally on your Wear OS device, and then securely transferred directly to your companion mobile application.
• Geotagging Information (Optional): If you enable location services and choose to geotag your notes, your device's location data is obtained and processed locally on your Wear OS device at the time of note creation, and then securely transferred directly to your companion mobile application as part of the note.

Information Collected Automatically:

• Device Information: We may collect basic device information necessary for the app to function correctly (e.g., Wear OS version, device model). This is generally for operational purposes and not used to identify you personally.
• App Usage Data: We do not collect analytical data or track your in-app behavior for marketing or third-party purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve the WearVault application and its core functionalities:

• To Record and Store Notes: We use your audio and text inputs to create and store your notes on your Wear OS device.
• To Transcribe Audio (if applicable): If the app includes functionality to convert speech to text, your audio recordings are processed on-device for this purpose.
• To Sync Notes to Mobile App: Your notes, including audio assets and text, are securely transferred to your companion Mobile App for storage and integration with your local Markdown vault.
• To Geotag Notes (if enabled): Location data, if provided, is used to associate geographical information with your notes.
• Operational Purposes: To ensure the Wear OS App functions correctly and provides a seamless user experience.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties.

• Companion Mobile App: The primary purpose of the Wear OS App is to sync your notes and audio recordings to your WearVault Mobile App. This transfer is initiated by you and occurs directly between your Wear OS device and your paired mobile device. Your data is then managed by the Mobile App, which typically stores it locally on your phone.
• No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share your audio recordings, text notes, or location data with any external third-party services or individuals. All processing and transfer related to your notes are intended to be between your Wear OS device and your companion Mobile App.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, or prevent fraud.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes:

• On-Device Processing: Wherever possible, data processing, especially for sensitive information like audio recordings, occurs directly on your device.
• Secure Transfer: Data synchronization between the Wear OS App and the Mobile App utilizes the secure Google Play Services Wearable API.
• Local Storage: Your notes and audio assets are stored locally on your Wear OS device before synchronization.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Data Retention

Your notes and audio recordings are retained on your Wear OS device until they are successfully synchronized with your Mobile App or until you manually delete them. Once synchronized, the retention of your data is primarily managed by your Mobile App. We do not retain copies of your notes or audio recordings on our servers.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access and Control: You can access, review, and delete your notes directly within the WearVault app on your Wear OS device and the companion Mobile App.
• Location Permissions: You can enable or disable location permissions for geotagging at any time through your device settings.
• Microphone Permissions: You can revoke the RECORD_AUDIO permission for the WearVault app through your device settings at any time. Please note that revoking this permission will prevent you from recording audio notes.

7. Children's Privacy

WearVault is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
